  • Yes!

    Our advisors complete a flexible and formal programme of training, with support and mentoring throughout the process.

    Most of our training materials are online so you can access them to suit your lifestyle but you’ll join your team from day one to ensure you have good links and strong mentor support.

  • Yes.

    Most of our volunteers work in office-based teams but some of our digital advisors operate from home.

    You will need some basic IT equipment, phone access and a confidential space. We will train and support you accordingly.

  • We ask for a day a week from each of our volunteers although some give much more. We are fully flexible on holidays and other calls on your time.

  • No one retains all the answers so we focus on understanding the client’s needs and knowing where to find the information.

    We will give you the skills you need and the sources of information to help most clients. You will have a supervisor on hand to answer any difficult questions or find information that you may not be aware of.

  • Yes.

    We value volunteers working in a number of areas. Some give time to help with office administration, supporting the flow of clients, setting appointments and securing storing data.

    Others working our research and communications teams and help us advocate on behalf of our clients.

    Our Trustees volunteer their time to run the charity and ensure good governance.
