Norfolk Citizens Advice is one of 26 organisations across Norfolk to receive support through Norfolk County Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund. The funding is helping us expand access to our free, confidential and impartial advice at 32 community venues.
We are so pleased to receive this funding from Norfolk County Council, which is supporting people across our county to access money advice and improve their financial wellbeing. In the last year, we’ve helped people in financial hardship secure more than £5.3 million in income gains and write off more than £7.5 million of unmanageable debt. This means we can keep delivering these life-changing services.
We are also delighted to have received funding to continue Support Norfolk, a programme through which we deliver Advice First Aid training to other local organisations and charities. We know that for many people, hardships in life come with multiple problems. For example, someone visiting a foodbank might also be struggling with paying for energy bills. Support Norfolk helps local organisations work together so people get the right support, sooner.
