Why we’re running this campaign
Many people across Norfolk are struggling with the cost of keeping their homes warm, especially over winter. That’s because:
The UK energy price cap for Oct–Dec 2025 increased to £1,755 a year for a typical household. This is a 2% rise compared to the previous quarter.
Energy bills in 2026 are 26% higher than at the start of 2023.
Standing charges — the unavoidable daily fees — have risen sharply, hitting people on low incomes hardest.
Many rural Norfolk homes are off the gas grid and rely on heating oil, which remains one of the most expensive ways to heat a home.
Local data shows Norfolk residents — especially in rural and older homes — are disproportionately affected by poor insulation, higher costs, and limited heating options.
We receive funding to provide expert energy advice – and we want to reach the people who need us most. You don’t have to cope with this alone.
