Here at the Friends, our role is to provide MUCH needed additional funding to support and extend the work of the local CAB in Norwich. Although most of the money needed to fund CAB comes from the Local Authorities, the Friends raise approximately £20,000 extra per year in order for the CAB to meet its costs!

The Citizens Advice Bureau provides an important and essential service to the people of Norwich and its surrounding area. From all walks of life, people come needing free, confidential advice and information, given in a professional and impartial manner. Approximately 50,000 enquiries from local people are dealt with each year; an average of 1000 every single week!

It is a common misconception that the CAB only deals with personal clients, but you might be surprised to know that your CAB is also invaluable to the local business community. Not only do we advise on matters such as employment rights, but we also advise on the newest changes in current legislation that might affect business performance, and compliance with European Regulations.

As an independent local charity, the CAB relies heavily on subscriptions and aims to enroll a large membership in order to provide continuing financial support. Please visit our Helping the Friends page, and help in any way that you can.
